A Kazakh Entrepreneur Breeding Tazy Hounds

A business that begins with mutual understanding always brings more joy, prosperity, and personal fulfillment. Trust and responsibility are also essential, especially when it comes to a family enterprise. After many years in the financial sector, Serik Autayev decided in 2013 to start a family business. The demand for dental services has always been high. Even though there are few open niches in the market, dental services remain in demand in major cities. Thus, an experienced financier, relying on his wife’s medical practice, decided to invest in a joint venture. In addition, the entrepreneur is engaged in breeding tazy — a traditional Kazakh hunting dog. He not only raises purebred animals but also carefully studies them. To this day, tazy puppies bred by Serik Autayev have been presented as gifts to the Head of State, singer Dimash Qudaibergen, and foreign guests.

For him, this activity has become not just a hobby but a true mission — to preserve and develop the cultural heritage of his ancestors. The tazy, which has become a unique symbol of the Kazakh people, is now turning into one of Kazakhstan’s most recognizable national brands.
