A new type of energy is set to be
actively promoted in Kazakhstan. According to the Energy Ministry, a concept
for the industry development until 2040 will be devised by year-end. The
document will provide data for a full understanding of the current status and
prospects of hydrogen production in Kazakhstan, as well as outline strategic
steps for its further application and implementation. Overall, the country aims
to create favorable conditions for hydrogen production by launching hubs and
plants. The estimated investment amount is nearly five trillion tenge, the
ministry reports. Experts highlight that the new type of energy will contribute
to economic diversification, provide export opportunities, reduce greenhouse
gases, and decrease reliance on carbon resources. Additionally, it is expected
to foster the advancement of new technologies and innovations.
