137 billion tenge of investments
were attracted to the Zhetisu region in the first half of 2024, with plans to
direct 375 billion tenge of capital investments by year-end. During his working
visit, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reviewed the socio-economic
development of the region over the past six months. Trade volume increased by
23 percent, construction work by almost 34 percent, and communications by 7.5

small and medium-sized businesses. The relevant ministry and local
administration have been instructed to focus on the development of agriculture
and the processing sector. Also, 58 investment projects are planned for
implementation this year. Notably, over 500 industrial enterprises are now
operating in the region.
