30 audiobooks to be released for 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence

30 audiobooks for the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence - such a campaign was launched by the Kyzylorda Regional Specialized Library for Blind and Visually Impaired People. Books by Kazakh authors will be presented to readers - they are now being recorded in a special studio. Among them are works in such genres as drama, poetry, children’s literature and translation collections. To date, the library has about 2,000 regular readers and its book collection consists of about 3,000 works. Over the past years, the library has recorded 95 audiobooks.

“All the books to be recorded in the studio have been selected taking into account the readers’ interests. They will be released over the course of the year,” the librarian Aina Bekenova said.
