Industrial output in the Kostanai region reached two
trillion tenge. Governor Kumar Aksakalov reported to President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev on the region’s development in the first half of 2025. Currently, 13 large
investment projects totaling 337 billion tenge are being implemented in the
region. In addition, priority is given to the development of transport
infrastructure, with over 100 billion tenge allocated for this purpose - 40%
more than in 2024. The reconstruction of the Zhezkazgan-Petropavl section is nearing
completion, the Kostanai-Mamlyutka
road has been fully renovated, and repair works continue on the Yekaterinburg–Almaty route. A
total of 29 billion tenge has been allocated to repair over 400 roads in 103 rural
settlements. The Head of State emphasized the need to further increase
investment, develop industrial and agricultural sectors, modernize social
infrastructure, and improve the quality of life of citizens.
«By the end of this year, four major plants will be
completed and launched. The first is a new automobile plant, which will create
1,500 new jobs. The second is a plant producing drive axles for trucks. The
third, a plant for the manufacture of auto components for passenger cars, will
also be launched. The fourth is a large confectionery factory. In agriculture,
construction of nine modern dairy farms is underway, some of which will be
commissioned by year-end. Overall, the President issued specific instructions for
the further development of the economy,» noted Kostanai region governor Kumar Aksakalov.
