The UK intends to
invest in the new developments of the Institute of Nuclear Physics and purchase
radioactive isotopes from Kazakhstan. The corresponding document was signed by
the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and the Ostro Minerals company. It bears noting that
radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases,
as well as isotopes for industrial use, are manufactured at the scientific
organization. The institute produces 90 percent of the country’s total volume
of such medicines, which are supplied to healthcare facilities.
