Third annual forum on educational technologies continues in Kazakhstan

From old approaches to a new paradigm in education. The third annual forum on educational technologies continues in Kazakhstan. This time, it takes place online, which means that anyone can take part. The organizers plan to gather over 5,000 listeners on one platform. More than 40 renowned speakers from around the world gathered to discuss new trends in the sector’s development. They tried to find a missing middle ground in the transition to the future education. According to speakers, the main emphasis in this field should be placed on improving the knowledge and skills of teachers. In addition, participants tried to answer the question “How to build the schools of the future?”, talked about how to get from a classroom to a board of directors, discussed transformational learning and much more. Despite the distance format, participants underwent master classes as well.

“What we need in order to work out common approaches in the transition to the future education and how to work in new conditions. We understand that the world won’t be the same, that we need to change somehow, because both the pressure of the pandemic and the new generation impose certain requirements for the entire education system. It is impossible to predict what professions will be in demand in the future. It is better to give them some kind of adaptive skills, which they can use in any profession,” said Elmira Obry, Acting CEO of the AIFC Bureau for Continuing Professional Development.
