Turkic integration is reaching a
new level of development in areas from the economy to culture. The Organization
of Turkic States (OTS) plays a significant role in this progress. It is
reasonable for Turkic-speaking countries to strengthen their presence on the
international stage in today’s world. A unified direction is crucial in light
of global changes, as it opens up substantial economic opportunities,
particularly in the transit and transport sector. Chairman of the Grand
National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmus discussed this in an exclusive
interview with the Silk Way TV channel.
“This integration opens up new
opportunities for Turkic countries. We are talking about 300 million
Turkic-speaking people living across a vast territory, from Central Asia to the
Balkan Peninsula. Representatives of Turkic ethnic groups, in smaller numbers,
also reside in other countries. I think that in our time, uniting joint efforts
and capabilities is of great importance, as the pursuit of common interests
will allow our states to actively develop and enhance their potential,” said Kurtulmus.
