investment portfolio includes over 130 megaprojects including in oil and gas,
petrochemical, energy, logistics, and mining industries. They
are expected to have a multiplier effect on Kazakhstan’s economy. President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev received Samruk Kazyna CEO Nurlan Zhakupov who presented a report on
plans for the upcoming period and the results for the first half of 2024. The
holding acts as a catalyst for foreign direct investment and co-invests in
projects together with foreign partners. The Head of State outlined a number of
specific tasks for the projects implementation, as well as for the further
improvement of the Fund’s work.
«Key production
indicators remained at the planned levels. For the first
half of the year the fund’s revenues amounted to 7.9 trillion tenge, which is seven
percent higher than planned. Currently, the group’s investment portfolio
includes more than 130 large projects worth 53.5 trillion tenge,» Zhakupov
said.
