Over 26,000 Kazakh families
affected by the floods received a one-time payment totaling more than 10
billion tenge, as reported by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov to President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. According to Bektenov, over 60,000 people have already returned
to their homes, and 239 families have received new housing. The Prime Minister
also noted that 873 new houses are being constructed for those affected by the
disaster. Regarding businesses, the government has established mechanisms and
begun work to compensate affected entrepreneurs.
