Holy Mass presided over by Pope Francis at the EXPO grounds was attended by around 10,000 people. These are pilgrims and religious figures from all over the country, as well as from Germany, Austria, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia. Before the act of worship, Pope Francis rode between the rows and greeted the attendees. The prayer was performed in Latin, Kazakh and Russian. A prayer for peace, love and justice was also held during the Holy Mass. The Pope stressed that these values cannot be acquired once and for ever, people should strive for them every day. Global efforts are required to make Kazakhstan pursue in fraternity, dialogue and mutual understanding for building bridges for cooperation with other peoples, nations and cultures, Pope Francis emphasized. It bears noting that the Pontiff presented the chalice to Kazakhstan after the sermon.
