The second nationwide lockdown has been extended in Kazakhstan. The number of single-day infections has surpassed 1,500 for 12 consecutive days. The country has also registered 135,000 cases of pneumonia in the period of July 1-15. Last Friday, Kazakh health minister Alexey Tsoy announced that these cases would be included in the official COVID-19 statistics.
