More than 900 investment projects
in Kazakhstan are monitored by domestic prosecutors. Today, Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Prosecutor General Berik Assylov, who
reported on measures to improve the investment climate in the country. Due to
that work, the issues of over 40 investors have already been resolved.
According to Assylov, effective methods have been worked out by a special
interdepartmental commission representing all interested parties, including
employees of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, Kazakh Invest, the National Chamber
of Entrepreneurs and the Business Ombudsman. At the same time, it is planned to
introduce digital technologies to increase investment security guarantees, which
will allow real-time monitoring of all the processes of investment project
implementation, as well as coordinating business decisions of government agencies
with the prosecutor. Digital solutions will also be used to search for funds
withdrawn abroad. Neural networks will help find illegally acquired assets. Artificial
intelligence will also be applied to uncover illegal schemes. Besides, Assylov
announced the results of work on international cooperation. Thus, Kazakhstan
concluded 73 agreements in the criminal law sphere with 34 foreign countries.
