Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas
Bektenov held a meeting on issues related to the restoration of social
facilities and infrastructure, as well as the construction and purchase of
housing for flood victims. He emphasized that the task set by President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev on timely provision of housing to those affected by the disaster should
be completed on time. Funding has been fully allocated, and now the focus is on
mobilizing all resources and accelerating the work. It is worth reminding that
housing is purchased on the secondary market or built for the owners of 8,650
houses which are not subject to restoration. Of more than 9,000 homes requiring
repairs, the work has been completed in almost all of them. Educational and
medical institutions are also being restored.
