A wood processing cluster is
being established in the North Kazakhstan region. According to the regional
governor’s office, a factory for deep wood processing estimated at eight
billion tenge will be constructed with Turkish investments. The facility is set
to produce 50,000 cubic meters annually. Additionally, a Kazakh company plans
to implement a project for building a plant producing glued laminated timber
(glulam), molding products, and materials for housing construction, with
investments reaching three billion tenge and an annual production capacity of
40,000 cubic meters. It is worth noting that a factory producing laminated
plywood is already operating in the region as part of the wood processing
cluster initiative.
