Maqsut Narikbayev University
(MNU), one of Kazakhstan’s premier higher education institutions, hosted a
large-scale contest, wherein four universities competed for the best congratulation
on its 30th anniversary. It brought together over 600 participants, including
students, alumni, and university professors forming their own teams. The
students expressed pride in being part of such exciting performances, competing
not only for the winner’s cup but also for a prize fund of five million tenge.
Holiday competitions have turned into a tradition at the university. It is
believed that this approach develops unconventional thinking and competitive spirit
in young people.
“We have been preparing for this
event for approximately 1.5 to 2 months. Our team, consisting of 80 to 100
students, gathered for rehearsals every single day to craft the show and win
the cup of the decade. I believe this is a sufficient number of participants to
put on a spectacular show,” said MNU student Alina Birgaliyeva.
“In general, our university has
achieved a lot. We have undergone accreditation by European agencies. We have recently
received the UK Quality Assurance Agency’s accreditation, validating that the
university meets British and international standards of quality in higher
education. Thus, diplomas issued to our graduates will be recognized in the UK
on par with diplomas from top British universities,” noted MNU Deputy Chairman
Arman Pirzadayev.
