Kazakhstan, Türkiye to launch projects worth $920 million

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were presented with joint investment projects between the two countries. Turkish companies intend to build a number of industrial facilities in Kazakhstan, including a mining and processing plant, a plant for deep processing of wheat and peas, gelatin production, and dietary supplements. In addition, Turkish investors, together with Kazpost, are establishing a logistics center at the international airport in Aktobe. These projects are expected to attract more than $920 million in investment. Overall, around 100 investment projects worth $4 billion have been implemented in Kazakhstan with the participation of Turkish businesses, while work on another 50 projects is currently underway.


Khoja Ahmed Yassawi School opens in Türkiye

The leaders also took part in the opening ceremony of the Khoja Ahmed Yassawi School in Türkiye via videoconference. At the initiative of the Kazakh President, the educational institution was built in the city of Nurdağı in Gaziantep Province, which was affected by the devastating earthquake in February 2023. The school is designed to accommodate 32 primary and four preschool classrooms. It features an amphitheater, a sports ground, and gazebos styled after traditional Kazakh yurts.
