Complex brain surgeries will soon be
performed using a robot in Kazakhstan.
A next-generation neurosurgical complex, the Remebot RM-200, has been installed
at the Makazhanov
Multidisciplinary Hospital in Karagandy. This intelligent
system, equipped with artificial intelligence, is capable of analyzing medical
data. The device is designed to perform surgeries with high precision and
minimal impact on tissues, opening up new possibilities for the treatment of
severe brain pathologies. The introduction of this technology will enable
doctors to carry out over 300 surgeries per year. Specialists from the Karagandy
medical facility have already completed training in China, where they practiced working
with the device and performed a series of trial operations.
«It reduces the duration of surgical intervention, which in turn
significantly improves patients’ recovery prospects. The precision it achieves
is less than one millimeter, the
system can reach the exact target point with submillimeter
accuracy. This enables surgeons to operate on Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and brain tumors, as
well as to perform stereotactic surgeries, collect stereotactic data, and
remove hematomas - all with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy,» said Erkin-Dauir Kurmangaliyev, Director of Multidisciplinary
Hospital.
