Kazakhstan, Thailand to deepen cooperation

Kazakhstan and Thailand intend to deepen cooperation. Prospects for expanding bilateral relations were discussed at the Akorda residence by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sihasak Phuangketkeow. Kazakhstan is Thailand’s largest trading partner in Central Asia, accounting for more than 70% of Thailand’s total trade with the region. A total of 55 companies with Thai capital are currently registered in Kazakhstan. The President invited Thai companies to explore Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities. Sihasak Phuangketkeow expressed his sincere admiration for Kazakhstan’s economic achievements and emphasized that the Thai government is interested in implementing joint projects in promising sectors.
