Kazakhstan’s tourism potential presented at international exhibition in China

China remains a priority tourism market for Kazakhstan. According to statistics, over 120,000 Chinese travelers have visited the country since the beginning of the year, marking a 64% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The significant growth in tourist numbers can be attributed to a mutual visa-free regime and an increase in flights between the nations. This is not the limit; Kazakhstan aims to attract even more tourists. At an international specialized exhibition in Beijing, 20 Kazakh companies showcased new tourist routes, drawing significant attention, similar to last year. The event hosted nearly 100 foreign tourism representatives from over 20 countries, facilitating B2B meetings and discussions on industry development.

«More than 10 agreements were concluded in the first days following the presentation of the tourism potential of Astana and Almaty at the international exhibition in Beijing. This indicates that travelers will flock to these cities,» said Daniel Serzhanuly, Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Tourism National Company.
