Digital solutions are being
introduced into the education system in Kazakhstan. Kazakh publishers actively
cooperate with IT specialists and digitize schoolbooks and other learning
materials to facilitate the educational process. The result of this
collaboration is the Ekitap.kz project. The unique educational digital platform
is a completely domestic product developed by one of the country’s most popular
publishing houses. With over 100,000 registered users to date, it allows students
to receive online education while enhancing their digital literacy. Also, video
and audio materials are available on the online platform in Kazakh and Russian to
improve knowledge of school subjects.
“We’ve been in the market for
over 20 years now. In view of recent trends and in connection with the
instructions given by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, we have also
digitized all the textbooks with our colleagues. All this material is
efficiently used in the educational process, and we receive good feedback. The
material is provided in an easy interactive form, which is convenient. This
enables school students to receive all the necessary knowledge. Along with
this, we will definitely have all our paper textbooks,” said publishing house
CEO Didara Alina.
Special attention is paid to quality
children’s literature by domestic authors. For young readers, the large Kazakh
publishing house prints books with QR codes, such as the encyclopedia entitled “Abai”,
enabling them to download and listen to audio stories and fairy tales.
The publishing house makes more
than 40 different product items now, including school textbooks, methodological
aids for teachers, and educational literature.
