Kazakhstan and Central Asia are becoming new points of growth in the world tourist map. The destination is becoming popular among tourists from Hong Kong. This was stated by Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong Paul Lam at a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and China. Visitors to the exposition were able to see the natural and cultural diversity of the country, as well as enjoy the sounds of the national instruments, namely Kazakh dombyra and Chinese pipa. The photo exhibition is taking place in Hong Kong Cultural Center and will last until August 8.
“Kazakhstan is really big and important country to us. We believe that Hong Kong and Kazakhstan really have big potential in both business and society. We should do much more work to promote Kazakhstan to Hong Kong people,” said Maх Ze, Vice President of the Hong Kong Commerce and Industry Associations.
“I just visited Kazakhstan in the early part of June. And spent a week in Almaty, it`s quite a beautiful city, and also made a visit to AIFC. We are now focusing to the trade and finance business, following the “Peering role” initiative. We are also planning to establish a Kazakhstan-Hong-Kong chamber-commerce towards the end of this year, as a way to promote trade and investment between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong,” said John Lam, Bank Chairman.
