Kazakhstan plans to enter top 20 in UN E-Government Development Index in three years’ time

Kazakhstan intends by 2025 to enter the list of top 20 in the UN E-Government Development Index. This was stated by Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov. Experts assure that this goal is quite feasible. After all, in 2020 the country already ranked 29th in this rating due to the fact that the share of public services available online was already brought up to 93 percent.

“Kazakhstan set before itself big goals such as, by 2025, taking at least 20th place in the UN E-Government Development Index, 50th place in the B2C E-commerce Index, and 40th place in the ICT Development Index. We believe that we can achieve such ambitious goals while maintaining and developing the strategic partnership between the government and the consolidated business community,” the minister said.
