In anticipation of the main
spring holiday, Nauryz, ethnically decorated trains were grandly launched in
Kazakhstan. A surprise awaited passengers at the platform of the Astana railway
station. Arriving and departing people were greeted by conductors dressed in
national costumes, accompanied by the sounds of dombyra, while being served
Nauryz kozhe and baursaks. Until the end of March, these trains in ethnic style
will be operating on the routes Astana-Almaty, Astana-Shymkent, and an electric
train on the route Astana-Pavlodar.
