Kazakhstan and Iran signed agreements worth
$93 million at a business forum in Tehran, where over 50 Kazakh and 200 Iranian
entrepreneurs participated. Kazakh businesspeople also expressed readiness to
supply Iran with 75 additional product types valued at $250 million. One of the
priority areas of bilateral cooperation is agriculture, with Kazakhstan eager
to export its wheat, barley, flour and vegetable oils to Iran. According to
last year's results, the trade turnover between the two countries reached $340
million, marking a 12% increase compared to 2023. The turnover of agricultural
products increased by a third to $220 million.
«At B2B meetings, we engaged with many
Iranian companies. Multiple agreements on import of their goods and export of
our goods are already in place. Therefore, I believe that such events have a
positive impact on both economies and on the export orientation of other
countries,» said entrepreneur Abylai Sanan.
