Kazakhstan intends to increase
the volume of annual grain deliveries to China up to one million tonnes.
According to the Agriculture Ministry, 22 million tonnes of grain and
leguminous crops, a record figure over ten years, were harvested in 2022,
including about 16.5 million tonnes of wheat. It should be noted that
Kazakhstan secured the status of a grain power. Every year, the country
supplies more than 40 countries with about 8 million tonnes of grain. In recent
years, Kazakhstan has been a world leader in flour exports, sending up to 2.5
million tonnes per year abroad.
