Prospective Kazakh students again received an opportunity to study in the best universities in India free of charge. The government of this country announced the resumption of the scholarship program of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. It has been operating for over 50 years. During this time, scholarships were awarded to 3,000 students from all over the world. This year, Kazakhstan received 15 grants.
“Kazakhstan students we provide them scholarship completely free of charge. We provide the air ticket, we raised the admission, then we pay the fees to the college or university, then every month we give an amount to them on monthly basis, and also we pay for the hostel charges. So, in fact, student has to pay nothing for this education. This is offered from undergraduate level to PhD level,” said Sanjay Vedi, Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre at the Indian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
“I studied for a master’s degree in international relations within the ICCR program at one of the leading universities in India. Requirements are not that complicated, you should fill application online and submit the form. At that time we were interviewed,” shared Ulbolsyn Orakbayeva, PhD in Regional Studies
