Kazakhstan, Georgia intend to jointly develop TITR

Kazakhstan and Georgia intend to jointly develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. This was discussed today during a meeting between Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev and Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili. The Head of State emphasized that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to all-round strengthening of relations with Georgia, considering it one of the key partners in the South Caucasus. He noted that the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding serve as the foundation for deepening bilateral ties. Additionally, President Tokayev highlighted the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue in expanding cooperation. Trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations are also developing between the two countries. On his part, Papuashvili reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to further strengthening relations with Kazakhstan. He expressed Tbilisi’s anticipation of deepening comprehensive ties with Astana, including in the sphere of transport and logistics cooperation, particularly regarding the expansion of the potential of the Middle Corridor.
