Kazakhstan is set to collaborate
with France in the training of water sector professionals. Kazakh Minister of
Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov discussed this matter with
French Ambassador to Kazakhstan Didier Canesse. Specifically, both parties are
ready to cooperate within the joint Abai-Verne Scholarship Program. As part of
this initiative, master's and PhD students will have the opportunity to study
in France for free. It is noteworthy that in early 2024, experts from France
are scheduled to visit Kazakhstan to discuss potential collaborative projects.
“We would like to foster active
cooperation in the field of training water sector professionals. This
collaboration can involve higher education, scientific research, as well as
advanced training opportunities for our current workforce,” said Nurzhigitov.
