300 billion tenge (US$700.9 million) has been allocated for the implementation of the Employment Roadmap this year. According to Kazakh government, such a substantial amount will be used to promote several large infrastructure projects. This program will create nearly 36,000 new jobs, the country’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin announced.
“It is planned to finance business projects worth 22.5 billion tenge (US$52.5 million) through microfinance organizations with the participation of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and local administrations. 50 billion tenge (US$116.8 million) will be allocated for the development of entrepreneurship in the regions. 100 billion tenge (US$233.6 million) will be allocated to finance investment projects of the agro-industrial complex through the Baiterek Holding,” said the prime minister.
