Kazakhstan has
achieved a record-breaking wheat export performance, as evidenced by
statistical data. From September 2022 to July of this year, Kazakhstan exported
over seven million tonnes of grain to international markets, marking an
absolute high for the past few seasons. Comparatively, during the same period
in 2021 and 2022, the country exported more than five million tonnes of wheat.
It is worth noting that Uzbekistan is the primary purchaser of this grain,
ranking among Kazakhstan’s top importers. More than three million tonnes of
wheat were shipped there, surpassing previous seasons. Tajikistan purchased
just under a million tonnes of Kazakh grain, while over 740,000 tonnes of wheat
were exported to Afghanistan, followed by Turkmenistan and China importing
slightly smaller quantities.
