The Head of State instructed to pay one-time benefits of at least 1 million tenge (US$2,250) to Kazakh veterans of the Second World War. Homefront workers and equal-status persons will also receive financial support, the President’s press service reported. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will attend the traditional flower-laying ceremony at the eternal flame at the ‘Otan korgaushylar’ monument on May 9. He will take part in the solemn ceremony on the occasion of the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the Victory Day on May 6. Charity events ‘Bow to veterans’ will be held throughout the country.
