Kazakh, Uzbek Presidents point out progressive development of bilateral relations

The Akorda Presidential Palace hosted a solemn ceremony to welcome the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in Kazakhstan on a state visit. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his Uzbek counterpart introduced members of their official delegations. The Head of the Honor guard company gave a welcome report to the leaders, and the national anthems of the two countries were played. Following the ceremony, the heads of state held talks in a narrow format.

Warmly welcoming President Mirziyoyev, the Head of State emphasized that his visit is of great significance for boosting cooperation and alliance between the two countries. He noted that the signed documents would define specific areas of interaction. In turn, the Uzbek leader highlighted that the meeting would elevate the relationship between the two countries to a new level. The heads of state expressed satisfaction with the progressive development of Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation across all areas.
