President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the
MFA International plant producing respirators and gas masks. It is the largest
in Türkiye and one of the top three manufacturers in Europe. In 2020, the
company decided to expand its operations and invested in Kazakhstan. At the
medical equipment exhibition, Tokayev was briefed on the development of cardiac
surgery and organ transplantation in the country. He was informed about the
launch of the construction of a plant for the production of the innovative ALEM
device, which began this May. Tokayev was also presented with a set of
comprehensive measures for the treatment of heart diseases. Achievements of the
Kazecotech scientific and technical enterprise were also demonstrated. Over the
past three years, it has produced more than 250 prosthetic devices meeting
world standards and has provided 500 people with customized wheelchairs.
Tokayev then visited a plant assembling
specialized and commercial vehicles. Since 2022, the enterprise has produced
over 700 units. The total investment in production facilities has exceeded 11
billion tenge, creating 240 jobs. The company is currently in talks with other
international brands to expand its manufacturing capacity and product range.
Tokayev also toured a sandwich panel
manufacturing plant, whose products are in high demand for the construction of
industrial, logistics, administrative, sports, and other facilities. During a
conversation with workers, he expressed confidence that the enterprise would
strengthen its competitive advantages and contribute to the development of
Kazakhstan’s infrastructure. The plant has the capacity to produce up to 1.8
million square meters of panels annually.
Tokayev was also briefed on the landscape
master plan for Mynzhyldyk Alley. Astana Mayor Zhenis Kassymbek noted that the
new station park will become a key feature of the Saraishyk district, with
playgrounds, shaded walkways, and an amphitheater. This year, work will also
begin on a linear park connecting residential complexes along several streets.
Another major project is the GreenLine Boulevard, aimed at ensuring that
housing, jobs, services, and recreation are all within walking distance.
