Kazakh President meets with UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Afghanistan

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Deborah Lyons, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) discussed Kazakhstan’s cooperation with the United Nations in order to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan. President Tokayev stressed Kazakhstan’s unwavering commitment to continuing comprehensive cooperation with the international community in the field of combating terrorism and extremism, providing humanitarian assistance and continuing educational programs for Afghan students. In turn, Lyons expressed special gratitude for supporting the activities of the UN mission in Afghanistan.
