Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in the Kyzylorda region for a working visit.
The trip began with an inspection of the new terminal at Korkyt Ata
International Airport. The Head of State toured the passenger check-in and
security screening areas, border and customs control points, waiting halls, and
the automated baggage claim system. The launch of the new terminal has
significantly increased the airport’s capacity. The facility meets the high
standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the
International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Governor Nurlybek
Nalibayev briefed the President on the socio-economic development of the
region. He reported that over the past four years, investment in the regional
economy has increased by 233%. In 2025, the region plans to attract more than
720 billion tenge in investments, with private capital accounting for 70% of
the total. Over the next three years, 90 investment projects worth nearly two
trillion tenge are expected to be implemented. This year, 27 facilities are
scheduled for launch, nine of which have already been commissioned. The Head of
State emphasized the importance of ensuring the timely and high-quality
implementation of the planned initiatives.
Next, President Tokayev
visited the Arts Center. The venue, which opened last year, hosts concert
programs, creative evenings, and public events. Several artistic collectives
are based at the center. During his visit, the President observed a rehearsal
of the regional symphony orchestra.
