Senate Chairperson Maulen Ashimbayev also met with Foreign Minister of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos. The parties discussed issues related to further enhancing and expanding cooperation, emphasizing the importance to continue intensifying inter-parliamentary relations. According to the Senate speaker, it is important to harness the potential of friendship groups operating in both houses of the Kazakh Parliament with the legislative body of Cyprus. In addition, he touched on the outcomes of large-scale modernization implemented in the country on the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and measures taken to transition to a new economic model. Constantinos Kombos commended the ongoing transformations in Kazakhstan and expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation.
