Kazakh doctors dispel COVID-19 vaccine myths

Coronavirus vaccination does not cause any disease, does not lead to infertility and does not change DNA, Doctor of Medicine and infectious disease expert Lyazzat Yeraliyeva spoke about the myths that surround immunization. She recalled that the safety of COVID-19 vaccination was scientifically proven by numerous studies. And the occurrence of the diseases after the drug is administered is out of the question. There is no need to be afraid of hypothetically possible scenarios, because the real danger in the face of the coronavirus itself is up close, the doctor believes. It is immunization that reduces the risk of infection threefold, the expert highlights. But most importantly, the vaccine prevents fatalities. For the record, every day, more than 100 people die from the dangerous virus in Kazakhstan.

“First of all, vaccination is necessary to form memory cells, so that in case of reinfection, upon a second encounter with the virus, thanks to these memory cells, we could produce antibodies much faster and there will be a speedy bodily response, as a result, a person doesn’t fall ill or if he gets sick, he does it in a mild form,” Yeraliyeva said.
