Kazakh animators
are currently undergoing training in Turkey. During the practical
masterclasses, cartoonists from the two countries are getting to know each
other, exchanging experiences, and, most importantly, engaging in discussions
about the creation of new joint projects.
Another group of
Kazakh animators is gaining experience in Poland. In Krakow, domestic artists,
along with students and representatives from animation studios, have the
opportunity not only to view the works of Polish cartoonists but also to
acquire skills in production and idea selection, as well as marketing and
promoting finished works.
“The animation
industry is rapidly changing and evolving. Therefore, it is very important to
enhance the skills of domestic professionals in this field. Apart from
exchanging experiences, this presents a great opportunity to explore new
markets and attract new audiences through international collaborations. In the
future, we have plans to invite renowned experts from foreign animation studios
to Kazakhstan, further promoting expertise and experience sharing,” said Gani
Muratov, spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports.
It bears reminding
that Kazakh studios have begun the creation of ten pilot animation projects
based on ancient Turkic legends. Each film has a duration of more than five
minutes. According to the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports, the project
aims not only to strengthen cooperation among Turkic-speaking states but also
to foster future collaborations in creating joint animated works.
