The Head of State received the Chairperson of the Mazhilis. Yerlan Koshanov reported to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the legislative work carried out in the second session of the seventh convocation of the Kazakh Parliament’s Lower House. According to the Mazhilis Speaker, a number of adopted laws were aimed at providing legislative support for the reforms initiated by the Head of State. Koshanov also stressed that MPs are currently working with the population in the regions to identify the pressing issues, which will be tackled jointly with the Government in the future. The President was also informed about the new work format of the Mazhilis, including the establishment of the Public Chamber. The Chairperson also provided information on the work of AMANAT party.
