On behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, an Auyzashar
(the evening meal after sunset during Ramadan) was held for the participants of
the National Kurultai. The Head of State congratulated those gathered on the
holy month of Ramadan and Korisu Kuni (in Kazakh, meaning to meet each other), which
symbolizes the beginning of the Nauryz holiday. President Tokayev noted that a
number of valuable proposals were put forward, and pressing issues concerning
Kazakh citizens were raised at the latest session of the National Kurultai. He
also emphasized the special role of the National Kurultai in the renewal of
society, as the initiatives of its members contribute to the timely resolution
of many issues, and stated that work in this direction would continue. In
conclusion, President Tokayev once again reminded that the unity of the people is
the key to the stability and peace of the state.
