New technologies on roads in Kazakhstan will improve the comfort and safety for all road users, and, most importantly, will reduce the number of accidents. Alternative road markings will soon appear in the country. They include projection and intelligent pedestrian crossings, interactive road signs, Nurdilda Oraz, Advisor to Kazakh Interior Minister reported at a briefing. He said that Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs held an interdepartmental seminar-meeting to discuss issues of ensuring road safety.
“In order to improve the safety of highways, experts of the Interior Ministry studied foreign experience and proposed to launch a pilot on the roads of Almaty, Zhambyl and East Kazakhstan regions. Advanced technical solutions will be tested in real conditions and adapted to the peculiarities of roads in Kazakhstan. Among them are projection and intelligent pedestrian crossings, alternative road markings, including 3D volumetric format, interactive road signs and others,” said Nurdilda Oraz.
