Today at the Akorda Presidential
Palace, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received a parliamentary
delegation from Singapore led by Speaker Seah Kian Peng. During the meeting,
special attention was paid to the prospects of economic and investment
partnership. The Head of State underscored the mutual commitment to further
expanding cooperation, stating that parliamentary diplomacy plays a crucial
role in strengthening international interaction. For his part, Seah Kian Peng
also noted the significant potential for deepening mutual cooperation.
Presently, more than 140 Singaporean companies and joint ventures are operating
in Kazakhstan, with the total investment volume in the country’s economy
exceeding $1.4 billion.
