The states of the Turkic world are set to join
forces to develop women’s entrepreneurship. Kazakhstan initiated this
consolidation, which is understandable given that nearly half of all small and
medium-sized enterprises in the country are led by women. They receive state-level
support through training programs, acceleration initiatives, and accessible
financial tools. This was a central topic of discussion at the Business Forum
of Women Entrepreneurs of Turkic States, which brought together over 200
businesswomen from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Türkiye, and
Uzbekistan. During the event, a memorandum was signed on the creation of the «Turkic
Business Hub» international platform. This will allow launching more than 100
joint initiatives among Turkic countries.
«I think the economic effect will grow
multiplicatively because the creation of the Turkic Business Hub implies the
development of an entire ecosystem. It involves not only Turkic world
entrepreneurs, but also the opening of global markets. First and foremost, it
is about positioning as a united entity, as the business of the Turkic world,» noted
Lazzat Ramazanova, Chairwoman of Women Entrepreneurs Board of Turkic States.
