Tourists from the
U.S., Germany, South Korea and India spend an average of four days or 96 hours
in Kazakhstan, according to the country’s Ministry of Culture and Sports.
Meanwhile, travelers from Uzbekistan stay in Kazakhstan for up to 10 days.
Tourists from Russia tend to stay for up to six days, while visitors from
Belarus spend five days, and those arriving from China enjoy a 3.5-day stay. It
bears noting that this summer witnessed a threefold increase in the number of
foreign tourists arriving in the country compared to the previous year.
“The eQonaq system
performs several important functions, including controlling and analyzing the
influx of tourists arriving in Kazakhstan, establishing a registry of places of
accommodation, and more. The main objective is to improve transparency and the
quality of services offered to tourists, while also enhancing control over
compliance with Kazakhstan’s immigration legislation. Overall, the system has
registered 3,214 business entities offering accommodation services,” said
Nurtas Bailarov, spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports.
