Flight carrying Kazakh citizens evacuated from Israel touches down in Almaty

A total of 124 Kazakh citizens have returned from Israel to their homeland. The plane landed at night at the Almaty International Airport, having evacuated 42 foreign nationals as well. The group of returnees included two infants and 16 scholarship holders, who were undergoing internship under the Bolashak Scholarship Program. At the metropolis airport, families, friends, and loved ones eagerly awaited the returning Kazakh nationals. The returnees expressed their sincere gratitude for the organization of the process.

“I called the Embassy to find out if there were seats available, and I was immediately included on the list of passengers for the evacuation flight. During the flight, the staff took care of us, providing meal and ensuring our well-being,” said flight passenger Aisulu Telgarina.

“A rescue team was swiftly organized on the very next day after the situation escalated. I don’t know how they found my contacts, but overall, everything was quickly and efficiently coordinated,” added another passenger Artur Kovalevskiy.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry set up an operational headquarters and a special chat room in the messenger, which includes Kazakhs temporarily and permanently residing in Israel. There are about 25 families in the Gaza Strip, whose members have Kazakh citizenship, the ministry reports.
