This year, the investment portfolio of the Eurasian Development Bank exceeded the planned target twofold. The total investment in its members’ economies reached US$2.5 billion. At the same time, most of the investment was directed to Kazakhstan, namely about US$1.2 billion. According to the financial institution, these funds were used to implement a number of domestic projects in the fields of industry, food, transport and renewable energy. The EDB intends to provide another US$1.1 billion for the implementation of Kazakhstan's projects next year. Overall, in the period from 2022 to 2026, the financial institution planned to invest US$3.8 billion in the country, but it has already fulfilled this plan by almost a third.
