Digitalization of public health services in Kazakhstan exceeds 87%

Digitalization of the healthcare sector is actively advancing in Kazakhstan. A unified state medical information system is being developed, along with a common database of medical records. Across all regions of the country, the Digital Document service, Face ID system, and a digital platform for medical service payments have been implemented. In Astana and Almaty, a pilot project has been launched to equip ambulance personnel with video badges aimed at enhancing their safety. The transition of medical certificates to electronic format is also underway. Currently, the level of automation of public services in the sector has already exceeded 87%. Overall, a modern and innovative healthcare system is being formed in the country, accompanied by the growth in medical tourism. Today, citizens of 50 countries can obtain an electronic visa for treatment in Kazakhstan in just 30 minutes. Since the beginning of the year, around 1,500 foreign patients have received medical care in the country, which is a clear sign of growing trust in Kazakhstan’s healthcare.
