Digitalization of the healthcare sector is actively advancing in Kazakhstan. A unified state
medical information system is being developed, along with a common database of medical
records. Across all regions of the country, the Digital Document service, Face
ID system, and a digital platform for medical service payments have been implemented. In Astana and Almaty, a pilot project has been launched
to equip ambulance personnel with video badges aimed at enhancing their safety.
The transition of medical certificates to electronic format is also underway. Currently, the level of automation of public services in the sector has already
exceeded 87%. Overall, a modern and innovative healthcare system is being
formed in the country, accompanied by the growth in medical
tourism. Today, citizens of 50
countries can obtain an electronic visa for treatment in Kazakhstan in just 30
minutes. Since the beginning of the year, around 1,500 foreign patients have received medical care in the
country, which is a clear sign of
growing trust in Kazakhstan’s healthcare.
