To date, the number of users of
the Kazakh electronic portal eGov.kz, an open and accessible government,
amounts to more than 13.5 million people. Therefore, the service covers 70
percent of the population of the entire country. According to the UN ratings,
Kazakhstan is one of the most developed countries in providing online services,
ranking among the top 10 states on the index of their quality. At the Digital
Bridge forum, the country presented information technology capabilities, with
domestic companies demonstrating opportunities for the development of digital
innovations for the second day.
“Now we are primarily focused on the
proactive provision of public services, when a citizen receives a notification
or SMS text message and simply confirms his consent to receive this service. By
integrating government databases, it is no longer necessary to provide the data
that you have already entered, for example, medical organizations or labor and
population protection organizations, and others,” said Rostislav Konyashkin, the
chairman of the board at the National Information Technologies JSC.
It is noteworthy that the
platform of the technology forum not only allows one to get acquainted with the
most advanced digital products and innovations but also to establish business
relations.
“Today I’ve received lots of
business cards at the forum, and now I need to see if I can get familiar with
all the companies. The forum offers great opportunities in terms of potential
partners, and it’s great to hold such large-scale forums. The platform itself
is great. I would like to express my thanks to the organizers. I think this is
important for the country and the growth of the industry in Kazakhstan,” said
Viktor Kuptsov, a forum member.
It should be noted that further
development of Kazakhstan’s digitalization was discussed during the Digital
Bridge forum. Thus, 2,000 rural schools will be provided with high-speed
Internet using SpaceX Starlink technology within the next six months. Also, the
country intends to complete the implementation of the 5G network technology ahead
of schedule by 2025.
