It’s been 60 years since the architectural education has been formed in Kazakhstan. The training of experts in this discipline has reached a new level over the years of the country’s Independence and now meets international standards. Today Kazakh universities pay a special attention to the study of modern trends and world experience. Experts are set to discuss the latest achievements in the sector at the 10th International Festival of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Design Schools of Eurasia. It will take place on April 15 to 16 online this time. According to the organizers, the event will become a unique platform where representatives of different educational institutions will have the opportunity to exchange views, ideas and experience. The festival will also hold a competition, where 50 vocational universities from ten countries of Asia and Europe will present nearly 450 best works. The Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering hosts such large-scale meetings every year. This time, designers and architects will discuss master plan of Almaty.
“The international competition of graduation projects will take place in five nominations: architecture, design, engineering, production of building materials, items and structures, geodesy and cartography, land management, cadaster. Researchers from ten countries entered the list of international jury. Today the festival fulfills its mission of increasing the role of universities in the development of vocational training of students and training of in-demand experts on the labor market as well as supporting of promising graduates,” said Yerik Besimbayev, a professor, Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
